I am an Educational Media Design and Technology student at Full Sail University. My thesis is based on creating a process for students to develop media skills and emotional maturity through a group supported self-directed growth program. I have the option that students would respond to having their own place in Second Life to call their own and collaboration. Participation in this program will be voluntary and will include students who I do not have for classes along with students who I instruct at different time periods. The ability to have their own spaces to meet, organize and create any time of the day offers many opportunities for collaborative growth. How do I make this happen if I will be using my own limited money for a second Life spaces? I teach multimedia at Gettysburg Area High School.
