Seems like the project was a success! Good job! You should be proud that the students actually had fun, and that they seem to learn a lot from you, and SL. Good Job!

I'm a mexican teacher. I love to see what you've done. I might add that much of what is known about mexican traditions are usually misunderstood or "not quite as they told you". Whenever you need an Assistant Spanish Teacher, or a Mexican Culture Consultant, please reach for me. Great effort, guys!

I'm delighted to let you know that Suffern Middle School in Second Life has been featured in Childnet's Young People and Social Networking Services report - so thank you for providing such a great example to include :)

I've posted a very brief overview and index to the whole thing at my own blog:

Best wishes, Josie Fraser.

I would like to help volunteer on your island. I go to middle school in Washington DC and some of my friends go to Suffern Middle School. I am pretty amazing at scripting and building in Teen Second Life, and I want to help. So e-mail me if you want too.

I am so sorry. I have admired your amazing work from afar and now I see that you are also an amazing person. It is so important to put family first! These things will always be here, but our family is precious.

I know you must miss her terribly, I have two sisters and love them dearly. It is a great tribute to your sister and your family that you would take the time to stay with her when she needed you most.

You have had my admiration, now you have my respect as a human being. I hope that I will be allowed to meet you one day.

It's amazing to see the energy emanating from this project, your passion for excellence, and the fun the kids are having, still ... go, team, go!

Thanks Peggy. It was an incredible week, and we're not done yet, but, like I said in my post, there's nowhere else I'd have rather been, and I know the same goes for Bernajean and Marianne! -kj-

I'm just about to run some workshops on SL for languages teachers... and it's the Italian teachers who are most interested in getting involved!!

I too would love to stay in touch about your SL projects - and would really appreciate any SLURLs you can give, particularly for teens to check out in TeenSL (because I can't go explore it myself!!)

Peggy,

I am extremely interested in exploring virtual environments like Second Life to motivate my 7th and 8th grade foreign language students. I am currently finishing up my master's in Integrating Technology in the curriculum, and would like to stay in touch with you (and your other colleagues) who seem to be successfully implementing Second Life into the curriculum.

I am curious to find out how well the Italian classes do with their virtual environment. I would like to introduce Geneva Middle School to similar projects.

Berni Kairys
